JASCO Hosts 2026 Real Impact Expo at AMIC Marysville

On June 11, 2026, the Japan-America Society of Central Ohio (JASCO), in collaboration with Wells Fargo, Vorys, and CADDi, hosted the 2026 Real Impact Expo at AMIC Marysville.
The event welcomed more than 50 guests from across the region for an evening of learning, discussion, and networking focused on timely topics impacting businesses and communities today. Through three featured seminar sessions, attendees gained insights into the economy, immigration law, and the growing role of AI in manufacturing.
Representing Wells Fargo, Aroop Chatterjee, Managing Director and International Economist, delivered an economic briefing that explored global economic trends, currency movements, and Japan's role in the international market. With many factors at play in today's economic landscape, we appreciated his candid take and realistic outlook, which gave our members a grounded sense of what to expect going forward.
From Vorys, immigration attorney, Sachiyo Peterson shared updates on rapidly changing immigration policies, weaving in personal case studies that grounded the discussion in real-world experience. Her practical perspective resonated with attendees navigating these regulatory changes in today's workplace environment.
Representing CADDi Co., Ltd., Yukari Kawashima introduced practical examples of how artificial intelligence can be implemented within manufacturing environments, offering clear guidance on which areas of operation are best suited for AI adoption and where companies should focus their efforts first.
Following the seminar sessions, guests enjoyed a networking reception featuring a generous spread of food, including sushi, that gave attendees plenty to enjoy while connecting with professionals from a variety of industries.
