Noriko Mills ミルズ 範子

Executive Director

Noriko Mills is a versatile HR professional with deep expertise in leadership and organizational development, as well as cross-cultural communication. At American Honda Motor Company, she served as a Senior HR Strategist, leading leadership development initiatives across North American operations. She also held the role of Organizational Development Manager, where she took on increasing responsibility for talent strategy aligned with corporate goals. Her work has encompassed associate engagement, succession planning, performance management, mentoring programs, and diversity and inclusion.


Drawing on this experience, Noriko now serves as Executive Director, overseeing strategic planning, program development, and stakeholder engagement. Her professional background enables her to lead with both structure and empathy in support of the organization’s mission.


Her commitment to U.S.–Japan collaboration at the national level is reflected in her board role with the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS), a position she has held since 2025.


A native of Japan, Noriko is passionate about building bridges between the U.S. and Japan, particularly through education and cultural exchange. She regularly leads leadership training and communication seminars, and provides executive coaching to help global talent realize their full potential.

Yuu Matsushima 松島 優

Program Director

Yuu joined JASCO in August 2024 as Program Director.

A native of Yokohama, Yuu brings extensive experience from her seven years at The Japan Foundation, where she led initiatives in Japanese language education and cultural exchange in both domestic and overseas offices.

As Program Director at JASCO, Yuu is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing programming, including one of JASCO's most significant events, the Japan FestOH! (formerly known as the Obon Festival). She also works closely with the Executive Director to ensure smooth daily operations for the organization.

Nobuko Imamoto-Nakahata 中畠 伸子

Programming Assistant

Nobuko is originally from Osaka/Kobe and has worked for Procter &Gamble Japan and US in Research and Development in Feminine Care Department. In 2019, she retired from P&G after 29 years of dedicated service both in Japan and in the US.

Nobuko joined JASCO in March 2024 as Programming Assistant, supporting the smooth operation of JASCO’s signature language program, membership management, and external communications.
