The Ohio Asian Awards 2025 to Ms. Mills and Mr. Hidaka

Congratulations to The Ohio Asian Awards winners Noriko Mills and Yoshihiro Hidaka!

 

Two JASCO board members Noriko Mills and Yoshihiro Hidaka were recognized for their long-standing accomplishments and leadership as Asian professionals in the state of Ohio at the Ohio Asian Awards ceremony on September 13th.

Noriko Mills, JASCO’s immediate past president, is a Senior Human Resource Strategist at Honda Motor Company. She received the Award for Inclusive Leadership, presented to the individual who has championed supplier diversity within their organization, the general business community, and the Asian-American business community. Her mentorship and advocacy have empowered employees to gain cross-cultural experiences; she has fostered cross-cultural understanding through education and business connections.

Yoshihiro Hidaka, long-standing member of JASCO’s board, is President of Hidaka USA, Inc. He received the Award for Lifetime Achievement, presented to the individual whose career reflects sustained leadership, community involvement, and a lasting impact on advancing the Asian American community. Mr. Hidaka’s role as a cultural ambassador has strengthened the bridge Japanese cultural traditions and today’s America. His professional success as a corporate citizen of Central Ohio and his view of business as a platform for community engagement continue to inspire the Asian businesses in the region.

The Ohio Asian Awards recognize “outstanding leaders in business, non-profit, and government sectors for their contribution to the vitality and success of the Asian American Community in Ohio.” Convened by the Asian American Commerce Group, twenty individuals were recognized at this year’s award ceremony.
