Message from JASCO
Message from Dr. Mari Noda
I am happy to be writing this message as Interim Executive Director of JASCO again. I served in a similar capacity between June and September in 2023 as we prepared to host the 30th Japan-America Grassroots Summit. Since then, we have had the pleasure of working with Seth Josolowitz but he has decided to move on to
a business opportunity in Japan. We greatly appreciate the energy and wisdom he brought to JASCO as the Executive Director and wish all the best for the new stage in his life. I am honored to serve in the interim capacity until we find a great talent to step into the Executive Director roll. JASCO continues to play an important role in bringing diverse communities together in Ohio and to receive meaningful support from the community. Allow me to highlight some of our recent and future activities.
We held our Fifth Summer Festival in August at Riverside Crossing Park in Dublin. This event is steadily growing as an opportunity for a great mingling of cultures in our community with approximately 3000 people participating. We are grateful to those sponsors that made the event such a success. Plans for the Summer Festival 2025 is already under way. Please look for further announcement on our website and social media.

JASCOをご支援くださる皆様にご挨拶をさせていただきます。
この度、再び事務局長（代行）の任に着きました。昨年、第30回日米草の根サミットの準備期間の6月から9月までにも同様の立場でJASCOとかかわらせていただきました。その後、セス・ジョソロウィッツ氏をExecutive Director に迎えましたが、この度、日本でのビジネスに着手すべく、JASCOを退職されました。短い期間ではありましたが、事務局長としてJASCOに大きく貢献してくださったセスさんを失うのは辛いことでしたが、今後のご活躍を大いに期待し、新たな事務局長を選出するまでの間、私なりに全力を尽くす所存です。JASCOは引き続きオハイオの様々なコミュニティの皆様の交流に貢献させていただきます。同時に、コミュニティから様々の形でご支援をいただいていることに改めて感謝申し上げます。最近、および今後の活動の中から一部ご紹介させていただきます。
８月には、5回目となるJASCO夏祭りをダブリン市のリバーサイドクロッシング公園で行いました。このイベントは、コミュニティの様々な文化背景を持つ人々の集うところとして、定着しつつあります。今年はほぼ3000人もの方がいらしてくださいました。夏祭りをスポンサーとして支えてくださった企業様、個人様に感謝申し上げます。すでに2025年の夏祭りに向けて始動しております。ウェブサイトやSNSでJASCOをフォローして最新情報をご確認くださいますよう、お願いいたします。
